Lyn & Rita’s Rides

A couple of stylish & versatile geared/singlespeeds, New Mexico bound.

Lyn’ s Fifty-Five is ready for racing, primarily as a singlespeed, but has geared capability. It’s lightweight but sturdy enough to take a beating.

The three bottle mounts accommodate large bottles- not always an easy task when building a smaller frame size.

Good tire clearance allows for high volume tires.

And the curry color looks darned good, doncha think?

We experimented with different decal color options- the curry powdercoat plays surprisingly well with a wide range of color.

Rita’s ride is a full 26″ Hydra- set up primarily for geared use, but with singlespeed capability. She’s building it up awith a Sid fork & a pair of Crank Brothers Cobalt wheels. The fit & geometry is optimized for versatile use- everything from singletrack to cruising around town hauling the kiddo in the bike trailer.

The Ahrens sliding derailleur hanger is just the right item for this setup…

I was really pleased with the way the decals turned out… a good match for the wheels.

  1. Nice!

  2. wow that curry is a cool color!

  3. I can’t wait to see Rita’s bike with the Cobalt wheels.
