General Lee

Lee wanted a 1×9 race machine

(overdue blog post!)

We came up with this- a long & low, straight top-tubed Trauco. It’s optimized around a 100mm Reba 29, with a lowish bb height to carve turns on the racecourse.

The Ahrens CNC yoke boosts stiffness & pedalling efficiency, while the Ahrens sliding dropouts allow for geared or singlespeed use.

We built up the bike with a Sram X9/X0 kit, a Reba Race 29 fork, and a NoTubes wheelset with matching mango spoke nipples. The 1×9 drivetrain features a Truvativ OCT crank & a road cassette. Very fast.

The “G” brace is something special to Lee- we had the letter etched in the handmade brace for him.

The frame is light but durable. A workhorse for Arizona racing & lots of trail rides.

  1. another sweet frame!!!

  2. Man you are putting out some sick frames!

  3. Is this powder coat? If yes, how would a dark colored metal flake look in it?

  4. Hawt!
